Hi! My name is Denisha

I am a mother of three girls and engaged to a wonderful man. I started my weightloss Journey in November 2017, with consistency, commitment, and discipline I was able to lose 141 lbs. I was 15 lbs short of my goal weight, and I found out I was pregnant with my third child in 2019. I'd planned to have an active pregnancy, however I allowed the excuses to sabotage my healthy routine that I created.

My daughter was born May of 2020, I was a wreck. I'd gained 77lbs back and I felt disgusting. I slipped into depression, I suffered from postpartum, and was diagnosed with anxiety. I knew it was time to start making changes, and I had to figure things out quickly! After many sad days, I had to take a moment and figure out the things that I used to do that brought me happiness. The first thing that came to mind was working out. I decided to take the holistic approach, instead of medication and that was to get my butt back in the gym!

I quickly discovered how I slipped into this uncomfortable space, and it was due to me not taking care of myself. With Covid, a new baby, kids being schooled from home, me working from home, all while trying to keep my home organized was just way too much. So, I decided to schedule 1 hour out of the day for myself to workout. I made the 1 hour a priority everyday, until it became a routine.

Fast forward to today, I celebrate my consistency. I am down 76lbs and counting. I am no longer suffering from postpartum depression, and I've learned how to manage my anxiety. Although everyone's battle's with these illnesses can look different. I found for me they all related to me not taking care of myself. This is how FLY (First Love Yourself) fitness was born. I discovered in order for me to take care of anyone else, I had to First Love myself. I had to show up for myself, as I would want others to show up for me.

It's such a blessing to now be able to inspire others to first love themselves through nutrition and exercise. I am no nutritionist, but I've definitely figured out a way to be able to enjoy food, be active, and lose weight. I am so passionate about helping others get started. I am a plus size trainer, coach, and goal getter. I am an example that all things are possible, even if you're overweight. You cannot pour from an empty glass. You deserve to meet the best version of yourself. When you feel good, you look good!

I am a Certified ❌treme Hip Hop step instructor. I am committed to not only making great again, but also to making cardio fun and to getting people moving. This workout is high energy and so much fun. More cardio was something I needed to add to my workout regimen. I saw a video of the Xtreme hiphop creator, Phil, and instantly I knew I wanted to learn, and become an instructor. 2weeks later, I signed up with Zero experience. I completed the courses necessary and as of January 1st, 2022 I was certified to teach. Now, I am excited to share the joy of fun hiphop step with the world. it's going to be so much fun, put your seat belts on and let's take this ride!

I am committed to not only making step great again, but also to making cardio fun, and simply getting people up and moving. This workout is high energy and extremely fun! Now, I am excited to share the joy of Xtreme Hiphop step with the world, and assisting others on their fitness journey's.
